No. Counting is free and needs no account. Your counters are saved in this browser on this device. An account is for Plus members who want sync, backups and longer history.

Open the counter and add one in a few seconds.

2. 2Pick a template, or choose a blank counter.
3. 3Give it a name if you like and add it. It appears on your board, ready to count.

A template fills in the name, target and colour for you, so one tap sets it up. Timer templates open ready but paused: press play on the card to start it.

Yes. Open ⋯ More on your board and choose Install Tapsle on a computer, or Add to home screen on a phone. Tapsle then opens in its own window with its own icon, and works offline.

Press + on the card to add, and − to take one away. On a keyboard, the up or right arrow, +, Enter or Space adds one, and the down or left arrow or − takes one away.

Open the counter’s settings and choose a Step, or type your own. Each tap then adds that many. Step applies to manual counting.

Open ⋯ More and choose Set value, or Add or subtract to change the selected counter by any amount in one go. Press 0 on a keyboard to set it to zero.

Target max is your goal: the ring fills as you get closer and Tapsle celebrates when you reach it. Target min is a floor that taps stop at, which is handy for stock that can never go below a number.

Press − to take the count back. In focus mode, Undo takes back your last tap, and after a reset the message at the bottom offers Undo. To stop mistakes happening at all, lock the counter in its settings, or choose Lock all counters from ⋯ More.

Open the counter’s menu and choose Reset counter, or press R on a keyboard. A reset shows Undo for a few seconds. To reset every counter at once, choose Reset all from ⋯ More.

Yes. Open settings and write a note, such as "Only count 250 ml glasses". It shows under the name on the card and in tap mode.

Pick a timer template, or set a counter’s mode to Timer in its settings. The timer opens ready but paused. Press play on the card to start it, and press it again to pause.

That is the timer’s schedule. While it runs, Tapsle adds the amount you chose at the interval you chose, for example 10 every 60 seconds. Pause stops it where it is.

Only if you turn on Manual counting while running in the counter’s settings. It is off by default, so a running timer counts on its own.

Pause it, open its settings and change the mode to Manual.

Free includes one counter on a timer schedule. Plus has no limit.

Tapsle keeps the count after closing, but the clock does not resume after a relaunch. Press play again when you come back.

Press ⛶ on a card to open that one counter full screen. Tap anywhere to count, and Undo stays in reach. Press Esc or × to go back.

Tap mode hides everything around your counters and shows only big counters to tap, so there is nothing else to distract you or tap by accident. Open it with ⛶ Tap mode above your board, and press Esc to leave.

Yes. Turn on No buttons focus mode in Preferences. The whole screen counts and Undo stays available.

On Chrome and Edge on a computer, open the counter’s menu and choose Pop out, or press P. It floats above your other windows: click the ring or press Space to add one, and ↓ to take one away. Its menu has Reset, Copy value and Settings. Phones and Safari do not support this yet, so the option only appears where it works.

Yes. Turn on Haptics in Preferences for a light vibration with each count, on phones that support it, and Tap sound for a short click.

Choose a group when you add a counter, or change it later in the counter’s settings. Use the group chips above the board to see one group at a time.

Open ✎ Manage groups next to the group chips.

1. 1Tap a name to rename it.
2. 2Drag the handle to reorder.
3. 3Press delete. Its counters move out of the group, and no counter is deleted.

Free includes 5 groups. Manage groups shows every group, even empty ones, so you can free a slot. Plus has no group limit.

Choose Rearrange counters from ⋯ More and drag them into place. You can also sort them with Sort, which changes the view only and keeps your own order.

On a phone, use the List and Grid toggle above your counters. Tapsle remembers your choice.

Turn on Keep screen awake in Preferences. The display then stays on while tap mode is open.

Turn on Tap sound in Preferences, and you hear a short click with each count.

Yes. In Preferences, pick Chime, Whistle, Bell, Party, Applause or Fart, or upload your own sound. It plays when a counter reaches its target, and confetti can join it.

Press the palette button in the header and choose Light, Dark, Midnight, Forest or Sepia. Press D on a keyboard to move to the next theme.

In this browser, on this device, straight after every tap. Tapsle keeps the count after closing, so it is waiting when you come back. Clearing your browser data removes it, so export a backup first.

Open ⋯ More on your board. Export counters saves every counter and its history to a JSON file. Import counters loads that file on another device or browser, and adds to what is there rather than replacing it. Both are free.

History keeps daily totals for each counter. Free keeps 7 days. Plus keeps 60 days.

Tapsle groups your counting into sessions by itself, so there is nothing to start or stop. Sessions appear once you start counting.

A shared link lets someone else see the same count as it changes. Plus includes up to 5 shared counter links.

Yes, with Plus. Connect Google Sheets, or add a webhook to send each count, target hit and reset to Slack, Notion, Zapier, Make, n8n or your own system.

Signing in is for Plus members. It is what turns on sync, backups and shared links. If you have never had Plus, you are shown how to get it instead.

Choose Continue with Google, or enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code to type in. There is no password to remember.

Check your spam folder first. You can ask for a new code after 60 seconds, and a code works for 10 minutes.

Open Account and choose Delete account. We keep it for 60 days in case you change your mind. Sign in during those 60 days and everything is restored. After that it is deleted for good.

Sync across up to 5 devices, backups, 60 days of history, up to 5 shared counter links, integrations, more than 5 groups and more than one timer. Counting itself stays free.

Plus is $2.99 a month or $25.99 a year. There is no free trial.
