How to use Tapsle as a Pomodoro timer
- 1Pick PomodoroTapsle opens a 25 minute focus timer, ready to start.
- 2Work until it endsWhen the round finishes, Tapsle counts it and plays your sound if sound is on.
- 3Take the breakStart a Short break, or a Long break after four rounds.
- 4See your totalThe Pomodoro counter shows how many rounds you finished, and resets each morning if you turn on daily reset.
Is 25 minutes the right length?
25 minutes is the classic length and a good start. Many people move to 50 minute rounds with 10 minute breaks for deep work, or 15 minutes when a task feels hard to begin. Change the length in the counter settings whenever you like.
Why count your pomodoros
A finished round is a small, honest unit of progress. Counting them shows how much focused time a task really took, which makes the next estimate better. A daily target, such as 8, turns it into a habit you can see.
Pomodoro app or a kitchen timer?
The original technique used a tomato shaped kitchen timer. Here is what an online timer adds.
