What is a clockwise counter?

A clockwise counter keeps track of full turns: laps of a track, circuits of a room, turns of a crank or rounds of knitting. Tap once each time you come back to where you started, and Tapsle shows how many rounds you have done and how many are left.

  • One tap for each full round
  • A target for the rounds you need
  • The ring fills as you go round
  • Clockwise and anticlockwise, counted apart

Counting without losing your place

Rounds are easy to lose count of, because every one looks the same. Tap as you pass your starting point and let the number do the remembering. In focus mode the whole screen counts, so you can tap without looking.

Clockwise and anticlockwise

Add one counter for each direction, or one for each person. Each keeps its own number, colour and target, and each ring fills on its own.

Clockwise counter questions

Does the clockwise counter save my count?

Yes. Every round is saved in your browser straight away, so the count is still there when you come back on the same device, even offline.

Can I count clockwise and anticlockwise separately?

Yes. Add one counter for each direction. Each has its own name, colour, target and note.

Can I count without looking at the screen?

Yes. In focus mode the whole screen counts, so you can tap anywhere as you pass your starting point.

Is Tapsle free?

Yes. Unlimited counters, targets, steps, notes, lock, focus mode, pop out and export are free, with no account. Free includes up to 5 groups and 1 counter on a timer. Tapsle Plus adds sync, backups, longer history, shared counters and integrations, for $2.99 a month or $25.99 a year.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once Tapsle has loaded, counting keeps working with no connection, and you can install it on your phone or computer like an app. Your counts are saved on your device as you go.

Can I keep the counter on screen while I work?

Yes, in Chrome and Edge on a computer. Choose Pop out and the counter floats above your other windows, with +1 and −1 inside it, so you can count while you read, watch or type. Phones and Safari do not support this, so the button only appears where it works.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your counters stay on your device. There is no account, and nothing is sent to us unless you turn on sync with Tapsle Plus.
