Tapsle

Stage timeron time, every talk.

A free stage timer for talks, panels and events. Tapsle counts the minutes a speaker has used and sounds at the limit, big enough to read from the stage on a confidence monitor or a phone at the lectern.

What is a stage timer?

A stage timer shows speakers how much of their slot is gone, so talks finish on time without someone waving from the back. In Tapsle, set the timer to add one every minute with the slot length as the target. The number is minutes used, the ring fills toward the limit, and a sound plays when time is up.

  • Any slot, 1 minute to hours
  • Readable from the stage in focus mode
  • A sound at the limit
  • Pause for questions or applause
Timer mode, in Tapsle

Any counter becomes a stage timer.

Open a counter’s settings, switch Counting to Timer and set the schedule. Tapsle adds to the count on every interval, plays your sound, and stops at the target. Pause from the card whenever you need to.

A second screen for the speaker

The organiser runs the timer on a laptop and the speaker reads it on a confidence monitor. With Plus, share a counter link and the same count shows on any screen, updating live, so the stage and the control desk always agree.

Lightning talks and packed agendas

For five minute lightning talks, set a target of 5 and reset between speakers. Keep one counter per session and the board shows the whole day at a glance, including which slot ran long.

Stage timer or a hardware stage clock?

A stage clock costs hundreds and stays at the venue. Tapsle runs on the screens you already have.

Stage timer questions

Can the speaker see it from the stage?

Yes. Open focus mode and the number fills the screen. Put it on a confidence monitor, a laptop on the lectern or a phone at the front of the stage.

Can I run it from the control desk?

Yes, with Plus. Run the timer on your laptop and open the shared counter link on the stage screen. Both show the same count, updated live.

Does it show a warning before the end?

The ring fills as time passes and the number shows the minutes used, so a speaker can see when two minutes remain. The sound plays at the limit.

Is Tapsle free?

Yes. Unlimited counters, targets, steps, notes, lock, focus mode, pop out and export are free, with no account. Free includes up to 5 groups and 1 counter on a timer. Tapsle Plus adds sync, backups, longer history, shared counters and integrations, for $2.99 a month or $25.99 a year.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once Tapsle has loaded, counting keeps working with no connection, and you can install it on your phone or computer like an app. Your counts are saved on your device as you go.

Can I export my counters?

Yes, free. Export saves every counter to one file, and Import brings them back on any device. Your counts belong to you.

Can I keep the timer on screen over my slides?

Yes, on Chrome and Edge on a computer. Choose Pop out and the stage timer floats above your presentation. Phones and Safari do not support this, so the button only appears where it works.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your counters stay on your device. There is no account, and nothing is sent to us unless you turn on sync with Tapsle Plus.

What is the difference between Free and Plus?

Free is the counter: unlimited counters, up to 5 groups, 1 timer counter, targets, offline use, export and 7 days of history. Plus is memory: sync across up to 5 devices, nightly backups, 60 days of history with charts, shared counter links, unlimited groups and timers, and integrations. Cancelling Plus never removes a counter.

Mics on. We will keep time.

Free, no account, and every minute is counted.
